According to the latest Deloitte Football Money League Study, eleven English Premier League Clubs make up the top twenty for the season 2021-2022.
Manchester City for the second year running came top, making €731 million, followed by Real Madrid, making €713.8 million.
The top twenty clubs made €9.2 billion, representing an increase of 13% on the 2020-2021 season.
This increase is mainly due to the return of fans to the stadia for the first full season after Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, match day revenue increasing from €111 million to €1.4 billion.
According to Sam Boor, Director in the Deloitte Sports Business Group:
“The Premier League’s superiority is unlikely to be challenged in the coming seasons.”
And added that, if the Money League were extended to 30 clubs, it is likely that all 20 English Premier League clubs would make the Money League!
