The complaint of inappropriate behaviour made by a female employee against Christian Horner, the Principal of the Red Bull Formula 1 Racing Team, has been internally investigated and dismissed.
Horner has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
The whole affair has been shrouded in mystery: nothing has been published regarding the full nature of the complaint nor the reasons for its dismissal.
This total lack of transparency is not only bad for Red Bull but also for the sport of Formula 1, especially at the beginning of the new season.
As observed by Lewis Hamilton, in a case like the present one:
“We always have to do more to try to make the sport and the environment people work in feel safe and inclusive.”
Also, as a famous English Judge, Lord Hewart, once remarked:
“Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done!”
