In the last Formula 1 race of the present season, held in Abu Dhabi on 7 December 2025, the British driver, Lando Norris, won his first F1 title by finishing in third place.
Max Verstappen won and Oscar Piastri came second.
It was close thing, as Norris finished only two points ahead of Verstappen in the championship.
Norris, who drives for McLaren and is 26 years old, is the 11th Briton to win the F1world drivers' championship.
It is also McLaren's first drivers' and constructors' double title since 1998.
Norris remarked on winning:
“It’s been a pleasure to race against both of them and an honour, I've learned a lot from both of them as well.”
And added:
"I've enjoyed it and it has been a long year, but we did it and I'm so proud of everyone."
