It has been announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) that the inaugural Women's Champions Trophy, which will be held next year, has been moved from Sri Lanka to India.
The change of venue has resulted from ongoing issues with the Sri Lanka national board and government interference.
The ICC stated that Sri Lanka Cricket continues "to make the requisite reforms" which were outlined at the ICC annual conference in July this year.
Bangladesh and South Africa had also expressed interest in hosting the tournament.
The matches will be held in Mumbai and Vadodara.
In contrast to the men's Champions Trophy, which is a 50-over-a-side competition, the women's event will be a T20 tournament.
Teams from Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka will take part.
