E-Sports: A New Major Arena
By Emre Bilginoglu, Attorney-at-Law, Istanbul, Turkey
Allied Esports and Esports Arena have partnered with MGM Resorts International for an iconic destination in E-Sports, scheduled to open in Las Vegas in early 2018.
The CEO of Allied Esports International, Jud Hannigan, declared that this new arena will be considered to be the “Yankee Stadium” of E-Sports.
Stephen A. Crystal, an attorney and the co-owner of Penta Sports, a well-known E-Sports team, states that Vegas is fast becoming the E-Sports capital of the USA, with big time events; dedicated arenas; cutting edge technology; and dedicated investors like himself.
E-Sports’ fans and investors should take note of the emerging Vegas market.
So far, Dota 2 E-Sports championships have been held in Cologne in 2011; and Seattle in 2012-present.
LoL E-Sports championships have been held in Jönköping in 2011; Los Angeles in 2012, 2013 and 2016; Seoul in 2014; and Berlin in 2015.
It seems that is ‘onwards and upwards’ for E-Sports!
