E-Sports: eFootball.Pro to Work with Sportradar
By Emre Bilginoglu, Attorney-at-Law, Istanbul, Turkey
eFootball.Pro, the football e-sports company owned by Gerard Piqué, a Spanish footballer, who plays centre-back for Barcelona and the Spanish national team, has agreed to work with Sports data corporation, Sportradar, for the company’s distribution of international media rights.
Sportradar will be marketing the rights for the tournaments of eFootball.Pro. The scope of the distribution includes news, highlights and other content similar to “real” football.
eFootball.Pro had already teamed up with Konami, maker of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), one of the best-selling video game franchises, a long-standing rival of EA’s FIFA.
Gamers usually choose either PES or FIFA, as they both have different tricks to score goals. By teaming up with Konami, eFootball.Pro will try to organise the go-to PES tournaments.
