Green Sport Awards

BBC Sport, in collaboration with Sport Partnership Summit, have inaugurated the BBC Green Sport Awards, to promote a greener future in sport.

According to sport adventure broadcaster, Ed Leigh:

Sport is not immune from climate change!”

There are five categories awarding individuals and organisations around the world, who are actively contributing to a more sustainable future through their sporting profile and practices:

  • Teamwork Award
  • Ambition and Impact Award
  • Evergreen Athlete 2022
  • Athlete of the Year
  • Young Athlete of the Year

All the winners will be featured in the BBC Green Sport Awards programme, which will be available in October.
