Inaugural Lecture prof. Ian Blackshaw at CISL of University of Staffordshire

On 16 June, 2011, Professor Ian Blackshaw gave the Inaugural Lecture for the new Centre for International Sports Law (CISL) of the University of Staffordshire, United Kingdom, where he is Visiting Professor. His topical and controversial subject was: 'Should Sport be above the Law?'. The meeting was held at the Britannia Stadium, the home of Stoke City Football Club, and chaired by the Dean of the Law School, Rosemary Evans. Professor Blackshaw was introduced by the CISL Director, Kris Lines, who also outlined the aims and activities of CISL. We hope to publish the text of Professor Blackshaw's Lecture in the September issue of GSLTR.
