Three former England internationals have been inducted into the WSL (Women’s Super League) Hall of Fame, which was established in 2021. The induction took place on 13 November 2023 at the National Football Museum in Manchester.
They are Jill Scott, Ellen White and Anita Asante.
Scott and White were members of the Lionesses’ team which won ‘Euro 2022’.
Assante gained 71 England caps, won five English League titles and four FA Cups, playing for Arsenal.
Since retiring, Scott has become well known outside football, winning in 2022 the ITV (Independent Television) reality competition ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’!
White is the record goal scorer for England, with 52 goals in 113 caps for the Lionesses.
Women’s football is certainly coming home!
