It has been announced that the BBC have secured the rights for this season and up to 2027 to show live one Bundesliga football match on Friday nights beginning on 22 August 2025.
The first match will feature the defending champions Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig, and all the matches will be available on the BBC Sport website, app and on BBC iPlayer, with clips of the biggest in-game moments across the BBC Sport social media channels.
The Director of BBC Sport, Alex Kay-Jelski, remarked:
"To be able to include Bundesliga matches within our live football offering is phenomenal, especially Bayern Munich's opening game featuring England's captain Harry Kane.”
And added:
"I'm proud BBC Sport has such an impressive portfolio of football coverage across all of our platforms - from live games to highlights and digital clips, to breaking news on the website, we've got fans covered this season."
The first schedule of matches has been published, and others will follow.
