The Organizing Committee of the 2026 NTD International Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Competition 2026 Media Release

To promote and preserve the spirit of traditional Chinese martial arts and uphold martial virtue, the 2026 NTD International Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Competition, hosted by New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD), will be held soon. We sincerely invite you to participate.

Mission of the Competition
This competition aims to inherit and promote the spirit of traditional martial arts,  advocate martial virtue,, demonstrate the true spirit of traditional martial arts, and through the exchange of martial arts skills embody the purpose of self-cultivation through martial arts and nurturing the mind through virtue, and contribute to the revival of traditional Chinese divinely inspired culture..

Competition Locations & Dates

Asia-Pacific Region (Taipei) Preliminary Rounds:

• Date: May 24, 2026
• Venue: NTU Sports Center

North America Region (New York City) Preliminary, Semi-Finals and Finals:

• Date: August 12-15, 2026
• Location: New York City

(Contestants from other regions may register for the New York preliminary round.)

Competition Categories

• Unarmed hand Category (Southern martial arts style is not included)
• Weapon Category

Divisions

Adult Division (Ages 19–60):

• Men’s Division
• Women’s Division

Junior Division (Ages 8–18):

• Mixed (Boys and Girls compete together)

Awards

Adult Division:
Gold Award: $5,000 (before tax) and a custom-made sword
Youth Division:
Gold Award: $3,000 (before tax) and a custom-made short
