Women’s Football: Manchester United New Manager

Manchester United are set to appoint the former Hearts manager Eva Olid as the new manager of their women’s team.
Olid, who is Spanish and 40 years old, joined Hearts in 2021 and signed an extension of her contract until the summer of 2026, with the option of a further year. However, Hearts announced, in April 2026, that she would leave, by mutual agreement, at the end of the 2025/2026 season.
She will replace Marc Skinner, who left by mutual agreement on 3 August 2026.
The 2026/20227 Women's Super League season begins on 4 September 2026.
Women continue to make their mark in football which, historically, is regarded as a male domain!
